Fall Creek Falls Utility District – Service Charge Notice

Beginning with the April 2026 billing cycle, which appears on the May 2026 statements, Fall Creek Falls Utility District has implemented a new monthly service charge for all active meters. This charge supports line access and meter-related costs.

The residential service charge is $28 per month, applied per single household dwelling. The commercial service charge is $50 per month, applied per single connection.

This adjustment was necessary to address operating deficits the utility has experienced over the past two years due to rising operational costs. At the direction of the state, two independent rate studies were conducted, both recommending increases between $40 and $45 for residential customers and higher than $50 for commercial customers. The Board adopted the $28 residential rate and the $50 commercial rate as compromise amounts to reduce the financial impact on customers while still ensuring the utility remains financially stable.

In addition, the rate per 1,000 gallons has been adjusted to $13.65 for both residential and commercial customers.

This action is essential to maintain the long‑term solvency of the utility and to preserve local control of our water services.
